The Meaning of Dearyu Sows

So why 'Dearyu Sows'?

In short 'Dearyu' (pronounced Dear-you) is an anagram for my name 'Audrey' and 'Sows' is a homophone for 'Sews'. 

I enjoy mysteries, the idea of perception, problem-solving and creativity! I also love nature, flowers, trees, exploration and travelling too! When it came down to it, I thought this name was fitting for my business as it captures the metaphorical similarities between planting ideas, nurturing creativity, growth and development in threading together my brand and sewn products. It’s a personal journey so having my name scrambled in it felt particularly special to remind myself of the importance of passion and creation and staying true to the craft. All names are important, let alone a business name, so as I was brainstorming and reflecting on the values, ambitions, and purpose of the business this stood out to me and it stuck! 

So here we are, Dearyu Sows in the making. A space for me to sew creations, be expressive, make mistakes and learn along the way. Each product launch, idea and creation will have it's seasons where I will gain experiences, take onboard lessons and continue to plant seeds to grow, create positive impact, stay resilient and aim to bloom.
